PROJECT CAIRO

A third person shooter set around a hidden pyramid. 

An newly discovered Pyramid is being used for a secret weapons project.

Project Cairo is one of my prototypes created for Ulster University. It is a third person shooter in which the player must complete mini objectives, with their main objective being to infiltrate the Pyramid and find out what is inside. The player is equipped with a variety of weapons as the game progresses.

The game itself is built within Unreal Engine 5 and consists of some of my best work when it comes to Level design, narrative and blocking out. 

This was a solo project created for a level design module that required a pre-production stage, I used Miro to plan out how the game was going to play and look. Itch.io download, coming soon. 

In Project Cairo you play as a treasure hunter turned military operative, your goal is to find out what is happening inside of the pyramid, what are the mercenaries hiding inside? 

This project was carried out as a solo project, it allowed me to experiment with roles such as: 

  • Level designer 

  • Game designer 

  • Narrative designer 

How I created Project Cairo
