Containment

A third person prototype

Defeat the enemies, progress levels, try out cool mechanics and guns. 

Containment was a prototype that I made in my first year of University. It turned into one of my favourites, as I had to develop AI, create cover mechanics, explosive grenades and a variety of weapons. This was also the first project where I used multiple animations.

The game itself is built within Unreal Engine 4 and consists of some of my best work when it comes to blueprints, creating new mechanics and implementing pre-existing packages.  

This was a solo project that required a pre-production stage, I used Miro to plan out how the game was going to play and look. 

How I created Containment

Containment is a prototype that allowed me to use Unreal Engine 4 plug in its creation. The aim of the prototype is to get to the end level, defeat enemies and try out the mechanics. 

This was a solo project that allowed me to gain experience in these roles: 

  • Game designer 

  • Level designer

  • Amimation
